Yes. The infrared sensor is very sensitive so it will detect activity within 16 ft whether it is an animal or a person.

Will it operate in all weather conditions?

Yes. The unit resists water, frost and high temperatures making it suitable for a range of climates. The main factor in winter months is sunlight availability since the panels need daylight to recharge the lights.

How fast does it turn on when the sensor detects activity?

There is no delay when the sensor detects activity, the light switches on immediately
